Donna and her puppies!

The New Litters are here! Inquiries welcome.

International Ch Kingswood Jordan of Nordlicht,
a brood bitch of such great beauty and elegance!

The quality in Jordan's litters is deep and impressive. She won her
International Champion title in one weekend. When she was taken to
the World Show in Mexico City she was the only German Shepherd
there to get a standing ovation. The first litter she had produced two
top winners in Columbia, who are pictured immediately below. There
are other very nice pups Jordan has produced, notably three from her
breeding to Do or Die, also pictured below.

Ven Col Ch Bad Intentions of Nordlicht, top winning dog in SA

US Internat'l  Ven Col Ch Frequent Flyer of Nordlicht, top winning bitch in SA

This is Abby, Ch Do or Die and Jordan now with Donna Schuster in NY

This is Ch Saterhaus TJ of Nordlicht now owned by Gail Bauman in SD. Gail has done a
wonderful job campaigning this dog to his title. . The dog on the right is his littermate brother,
Ch Saterhaus-Nordlicht To Die For (Hitter).. These are two nice littermate brothers by Ch Do or Die
and out of Internat'l Ch Jordan.

This is a Ch Do or Die/Jordan puppy. This photo was taken as we were driving to the airport
to send her to her new owner in Maryland. She was a lovely puppy.

Sired by AOE USGV Ch Caralands Unlimited ROM OFA, and out of
Select Ch Final Fantasy of Nordlicht ROM, the pedigree to die for.
This wonderful dog just keeps having litters that are fault free and
high quality. Dragon Lady now has her sixth litter born 2-17-04.
These pups are sired by Utopia's Encore for Mariner.

pictured as she looks today after six litters

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Let's let the progeny
of this great brood bitch do the talking for her. Below are photos of
some of the pups from her six litters.

From the 1st Litter
Sired by Ch Clayfields Brimstone

This is AKC Ch,  Int'l Ch Southern Gentleman of Nordlicht TC, HIC, HCT, and CERF, eye and thyroid tested, does herding and is also used as a thearpy dog. What a special dog he is.

This is Can Champion Chyna of Nordlicht.CD .

There are other lovely pups from this litter but we are unable to reach the owners at
this time.Hopefully we can post photos of them also.

From the Second Litter
Sired by Ch Smokin' Joe of Nordlicht

There are so many winners from this litter we created a special Page for Dragon
Lady and her progeny.  Click on her Page as shown on the left hand column.
Below is her first champion.

Res Best In Futurity NW Region 2002
Res Best in Maturity 2003, and stood second in the Maturity Finals at the 2003
Nationals.Champion Bravo's Do or Die of Nordlicht

Ch Do or Die is one of our more recent champions

Bravo's Do or Die of Nordlicht, a feature puppy from Dragon Lady's second litter.. There were ten
quality pups in Dragon Lady's second litter, which is very remarkable. All ten pups in this litter are in
show homes. As far as I know all ten of them are pointed, some with major points and some with
Group placements. There are so many of these pups I have created a separate page for Dragon
Lady and the pups from this litter. Look on the left hand column and click on the Dragon Lady Page
to view them.

From the Third Litter
Sired by Ch Richterslusts Mr T of Nordlicht

Champion Saterhaus Bad Boy of Nordlicht now with Judge Sandi Card

Dragon Lady is still a very young bitch and there are more litters to come.
There is little doubt in my mind that she will leave her mark on the breed
before she is done. There are other pups in the litters represented above
that are just as good, and we hope they will get out and compete, and the
owners let us know about it.

From the Fourth Litter

fourth litter, born end of August, 2002. Here is the one we call Teddy going

My Comments:
Dragon Lady is one of our best. Her mother was the most beautiful bitch I ever
created at Nordlicht, the lovely Sel Ch Final Fantasy of Nordlicht. She is on this
website on the Progeny Page. Dragon Lady has a pedigree to die for, made of
some of the best dogs in the history of the breed in this country, bar none. Here
is an opportunity to have unexcelled beauty, trainability, and proven quality. To
have a brood bitch that is as prolific and productive a Dragon Lady is an honor.
To have progeny from her is an opportunity.

Intrnat'l Ch Reflections (Val) of Nordlicht

This is perhaps the best moving bitch I ever bred. She is faultless
in motion viewed from all angles. I have had many knowledgeable
breeders compliment me on her which is very nice to receive.

From Reflections first litter, Ch Utopia's Jitterbug
of Nordlicht.  This litter was sired by Magellan. Jitterbug became
Magellan's first Champion, a dog we predicted would be a great producer.

From her next litter:
Am Can Select Am Can Champion Utopia's Tanqueray of Nordlicht
Best In Futurity SP Region Best in Maturity. He was Best Puppy at the
2002 US National and RWD. This is the youngest dog I know of to win
Selects to two countries before two years of age.

 From the next litter:

Sire Ch Latigo of Nordlicht

Utopia's Hope of Nordlicht

Hope Floats!

Here is a new update about Hope from her new owner Darryl: (posted 4, 2006) This has also been written up in the German Shepherd Dog Review as well as the Northwest GSDC Newsletter

At 09:00 AM on that Monday the power went out in Oak Harbor. I only had one phone and it is a portable. So, no power = no phone. I was working in the garage and felt dizzy. I came into the house with this unusual feeling of weakness, shortness of breath, and feeling of faintness. I sat on the bed and noticed it was 09:20 in the morning and still no power. The next thing I knew I was having a severe amount of chest pains. Then it was 10:00 AM and I was on the floor with Hope licking my face continuously to wake me up. She was pawing at my shoulders also.  She just would not stop. I knew the phone was useless and I needed so desperately to get to a 911 operator. I got to my knees and used Hope as a support then crawled to a neighbors home pounding on the door for help. No answer. I crawled to the second neighbors home with the same result, no answer. Finally I saw almost a block away a garage door was opened. Hope helped me get to that home and the man had a cell phone to call 911. Hope remained at my side. Then I could faintly hear an ambulance's siren in the distance as I passed out.

When I woke at the hospital the E.R. doctor told me that indeed I suffered a heart attack but my real problem was I had no red blood cells. I was so anemic that my brain and heart were starved for oxygenated blood. In other words he said, I was on the floor dying when Hope kept up her incessant licking and pawing to wake me. Whidbey General hospital admitted me and used several pints of packed red blood cells over the next few days. When Dr Stern came by he said, "fellows like you die each day with your exact same condition. The luckiest thing that could have happened was your German Shepherd knew you were in trouble and what to do to help you." Had she not been at your side you'd be another statistic I'm afraid, you owe that Shepherd a lot." "Well she did and your alive now thanks to her instincts". Then I was asked to bring Hope to the hospital when I felt better so they could meet this remarkable girl and to visit with the hospital staff. I did so and when she was there she went from room to room visiting patients and giving them all a - "Little Hope!" as well.  Hope is now a constant visitor to the hospital where she is welcomed by all... She loves it. I love it also. They all love her just as I do... She is a service dog now for Whidbey General and all those that are there, as she is giving them all some new found "Hope!"

I'm on the mend now. My problem has been found and a cure is in progress. All thanks to a German Shepherd that just seemed to know what to do for me. Any idea how that makes me feel?

Regards for now

Hope & Darryl

Aladdin's Libby

When we started breeding Libby we realized she was producing outstanding
temperament in all her pups. We placed many of her pups in training homes
and they are now doing Herding, Agility, SAR and all kinds of personal training.
We don't have photos of these pups, but they are truly outstanding and trainable
with rock-bottom sound temperaments. When she was bred to Jameraquai we
also started placing them in show homes. Here is a photo of one of the pups we
sent to Mexico who recently went Best Puppy at a Specialty Show down there
and went on to become a Mexican Champion. .

This is Mex Ch Saterhaus Jake of Nordlicht.  He is having a good
career in Mexico.

This is Col Ch Saterhaus Blue of Nordlicht, now in Columbia, SA
with our friend Juan Posada.

This is Saterhaus Lahela of Nordlicht, a littermate to Jake and Blue. .
We love this dog. She is owned by Jen Arends in So Cal. She in training
as a herding dog, but has taken time out to have a litter of pup sired by
Ch Do or Die. Lahela was OFA'd Excellent.
